These deadlines are meant for international students participating in International Non-Degree Student Mobility Programs, for which there is an executed agreement between UConn and the home institution.

Applications Open |
January 9 - January 13 | Students request TOEFL/IELTS testing agency to send UConn official scores, and request their home institution send official transcripts. Students should request that official transcripts and official testing scores be sent well before the application deadline below, so that they are received in time. Unofficial transcripts and scores serve as preliminary information, but must be verified by receipt of official transcripts from your University, and official TOEFL. TOEFL Instructions: Request the ETS testing agency to send your TOEFL scores directly to UConn, using school code 3915. IELTS Instructions: Request the testing agency (where you took the test) to send official IELTS scores to the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. |
February 29 | Completed Applications Due – Including all supplemental materials. Official TOEFL/IELTS scores and official transcripts must be received by this date. Requests to testing agencies and home institutions should have been made one month prior.
Recommenders listed in the online application will receive an email from us requesting they fill out an online form and upload a recommendation typed on letterhead. Students should notify their Recommenders in advance so they are prepared to submit a recommendation by February 28th. |
February 29 | Recommendations Due
Recommenders receive a request to submit a recommendation as soon as students submit their application. |
March 1st | Department Review of Application Materials Commences
Departments conducting skype interviews may begin to contact students. |
April 9th |
Admissions Decisions
Admissions decisions are emailed to students. The notification will include instructions on how to submit the non-refundable housing deposit, request for I-20, and information about the students NetID and Peoplesoft ID. |
April 16th | Students Commit
Accepted students must commit by sending non-refundable housing deposit. |
May 1st |
Request for I-20 Committed students place a request for student I-20 via International Student & Scholar Services online system. Instructions for how to request the document will be provided at the time of admission notification. |
June/July | Students receive I-20s with the original hard copy admissions letter. |
August 22-23 |
Arrival at UConn
[Students should book their flights to arrive at BDL on Saturday or Sunday (August 22-23, 2020) and take a taxi to UConn (about 45minutes ride) to check into their residence hall on campus.] The required one-week orientation for new international students will take place the week before classes begin. |
