Laitheam Eang is a co-founder of the Dare & Dream Cambodia. She grew up in rural Cambodia where most girls drop out of school by the age of 14. She is currently pursing a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and Social Entrepreneurship at the School of Global Studies, Thammasat University in Thailand. She has led numerous community projects related to leadership, smart labor migration, girls ‘education, youth’s empowerment, anti-corruption and the environment.
Five-Year Project Goals:
- They expect to run the social enterprise and hope at least 100 girls among them will become role models for the next generation
- In the long run, they hope to see a significantly increased number of Cambodian women being able to complete their higher education, built their full potential, and become leaders in their community, country and beyond.
- Ultimately, they aspire to achieve a more gender-equal Cambodia.

Dare and Dream is an aspiring social enterprise empowering rural female students from low income families to pursue higher education and realize their true potential. Through their mentorship support, soft skills training and online platform, they will be inspired to become role models and women leaders in their community. Within first two years, there are 250 young women have impacted from the program
