A high quality public education is not easily accessible for all Tunisian primary school students. Hajer hopes to improve the quality of Tunisian primary school curriculum, especially to help underprivileged students. By expanding schools' current curriculum to include personal development training and debate competitions, Hajer believes that students will learn valuable life lessons and soft skills from an early age.

Five-Year Project Goals:

  • SavEduc can develop a better generation of more cultivated, ethical, open-minded, skilled and socially engaged leaders.

Organization Information: SavEduc

SavEduc started with the simple idea that students in Tunisia should have access to a high quality primary school education by expanding school curriculum so that it nurtures childhood growth and development. Starting with just a single workshop, SavEduc has now expanded to an organization that has provided personal development trainings and hosted debate competitions for over 200 primary school students in Hammam Sousse, Tunisia. Hajer used UConn award funding to organize and market her first SavEduc workshop held in May 2017.
