Goh Xie Loong "Kingsley" is an undergraduate student studying in the data analytics field in the School of Computing of the National University of Singapore (NUS). His grandparents were farmers; he learned deeply from them, the love for nature and a down-to-earth approach to problem-solving, which extends his interest in technology to social entrepreneurship, agri-tech and climate advocacy. With the grant from GTDI, he is working on an agricultural innovation project that is co-creating a modular household urban farming framework with the underprivileged farming communities in Malaysia. He presented the project as a Malaysian representative Advocate in Brazil at the Youth Ag Summit 2019. He was also a Malaysian climate advocate who had spoken at various panels in the 25th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP25) in Madrid, Spain. He hopes to deepen his knowledge in the application of data analytics in multidisciplinary fields through multi-stakeholder approaches.

74% of the 1.2million population in Timor-Leste are in the category of youth.

With a USD15k grant from YSEALI Seeds for Future, he is working with friends in Timor-Leste to create a youth-sectorial nation-building development program that aims to empower 15 Timorese youth groups to learn, empower, and act for the sustainable future of Timor-Leste through social innovation and development tools. They are launching their online “Radio-hub” soon in August, and they are actively looking for international Content/Strategic partners who are interested to help them in formulating forefront contents and curriculum for their physical 5-day bootcamp in August and after-bootcamp learning materials (which will then be translated to the national language of Timor-Leste- Tetum and shared in our “Radio-Hub” Page for all Timorese youths)! They are also looking for Local and International Media Partners that want to cover the beautiful country Timor-Leste through the eyes and projects of local youths.
