Nguyen Minh Chau is the founder and CEO of Carota - a social enterprise in mental health care. She is also currently working as a program operation associate at the venture capital Vietnam Silicon Valley, as well as pursuing her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. Previously, she graduated from Foreign Trade University in Vietnam, where she studied International Business Administration. During her university years, Chau participated in the Executive Committee of Enactus FTU Hanoi and Vietnam Social Innovation Challenge, and actively contributes to activities of the organization. Chau has determination to contribute to the development of youth and the social entrepreneurship community, she has a passionate belief in empowerment and sincerity.
Five-Year Project Goals:
- To become the leader in the mental health care industry in Vietnam.
- To become the most popular and prestigious organization among the psychology network in Vietnam.
Organization Information: Carota
Carota is a social enterprise which aims at fostering the mental well-being of the Vietnameses by building a thriving community of professional counseling service providers and users via high-tech platforms. Carota is the pioneer in offering online counseling services through a mobile app in Vietnam. The platform connects users with a trained counselor for private text, audio, or video chat therapy at reasonable costs. Users also get free access to mental health blog posts, psychological evaluation test and self-help guide. The project was developed by Chau Minh Nguyen, Pham Thanh Mai and two other female co-founders. Carota is a joint project between Nguyen Minh Chau and Pham Thanh Mai (an alumna of YSEALI Spring 2019 at UCONN)
