In the 21st century, education is an effective tool to eliminate boundaries and create a generation of educated youth in both comprehensive knowledge and in willingness to contribute to their communities. To make this possible in Vietnam, Anh began Vietnam Education Partnership (VEP) which provides equal education opportunities for young students to access high quality education and provides essential skill training to foster global citizenship.

Five-Year Project Goals:

  • Become an active non-profit in Vietnam by helping over 1,000 students annually

Organization Information: Vietnam Education Partnership (VEP)

VEP focuses on English language proficiency, globally standardized knowledge, and sixteen essential skills for students in the 21st century. VEP aims to train and introduce a high-qualified Vietnamese labor force, which will benefit the country and help sustain the economy. In order to achieve these goals, VEP collaborates with various organizations to organize workshops at academic institutions and provide students with information about global education and study abroad while also equiping them with the resources in need to become global citizens. In addition to regular workshops, VEP offers free English classes, soft skill training and career orientation training to underprivileged students. Anh used the UConn grant money to run free workshops in poor provinces in Central Vietnam.
