  • Instill professional development skills in all Cambodian youth entering the workforce
  • Influence a positive change of employment quality in Cambodia

Organization Information: LEAD

Although Cambodia’s unemployment rate is as low as 5%, working conditions are poor. Because Cambodia is an agricultural country where the majority of the population are farmers, most people work in family businesses lacking access to professional development skills, leadership, communication skills, and negotiation skills.

LEAD organizes workshops to help university students and graduates boost their professional capacity and develop soft skills necessary to enter the workforce. LEAD works to develop individuals, equip them with professional development skills needed to prepare for the working world. By training young people to become better working professionals, they will be able to improve the quality of jobs.

LEAD will build community by bringing young people together for the professional development trainings and promote a sense of collaboration and networking. The workshops can also serve as networking events because both young leaders and young professionals will attend. These workshops feature guest speakers from various organizations to act as mentors to the youth.
