Bounpadith (Lou) hopes to educate and motivate young people so that they are aware of social issues in Laos, which increases their desire to create change. Lou used his grant funding to plan and organize a workshop in Vientiane, Laos to teach Lao youth how to realize their passions and take a step towards social change, while also planning for a successful future. He manages social media accounts that provide up to date information about available scholarships and study abroad opportunities.

Five-Year Project Goals:

  • Inspire Lao youth to learn about social issues and train them to help eradicate social issues

Organization Information: Dream Big Bright Future

Dream Big Bright Future works to encourage Lao youth to find a passion and to work towards achieving their dreams of becoming social change makers by successfully planning for their future. Made up of young professionals including YSEALI alumni, the organization holds workshops to provide information on applying to universities, scholarships, and studying abroad, while also providing leadership skill training in order to prepare Lao youth for success. Dream Big Bright Future encourages young people to open their minds by inspiring them to become social change makers themselves.
