Benjamin believes that students in Ghana should have the opportunity to learn about information technology, even if schools cannot provide this opportunity. Many high schools do not offer technology classes or cannot afford to sustain computer clubs for their students. Benjamin and his organization iteens offers workshops, classes and individual computer tutoring for high school students interested in pursuing careers in information technology fields. He also offers technology classes to adults outside of school because he believes that everyone can benefit from learning more about technology.

Organization Information: iteens

iteens creates and/or revives computer clubs in Ghanaian high schools and throughout communities to engage students in information technologies, encourage them to pursue careers in the technology field, and teach them to build apps aimed at solving social issues. The organization hosts workshops in high schools and in surrounding communities, but also offer one-on-one training sessions to interested students. Not only does iteens help to educate students about technology, but the organization also fosters a sense of community by bringing instructors and students together focusing on a common goal.
